Taylor Swift has released a deluxe edition of her album *The Life of a Showgirl*, titled *Encore*, which adds four new songs to the original 12th studio album. The move celebrates the record's unprecedented commercial success, with Swift announcing the project just two days before its release on 25 September, explaining that she created the additional tracks with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback whilst reflecting on the album's achievements.

The deluxe edition includes the tracks "Patient Zero," "Babylon," "Pink Clouding" and "Cleveland!" and builds on the original album's extraordinary performance: it achieved a record-breaking 4.002 million equivalent album units in its first week in the United States and spent 12 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200. Swift directed a cinematic music video for "Patient Zero" featuring actors Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson, which she will premiere at the MTV Video Music Awards on 27 September. The 14-time Grammy winner will also receive the inaugural Artist Director Honor at the 2026 VMAs.
