Team USA men's national hockey team equipment manager Thaddeus "Teddy" Richards, who also works for the Florida Panthers, has been arrested in Florida on misdemeanor charges of battery/domestic violence. The arrest, first reported by The Athletic, has led to Richards being suspended from his equipment manager role with the national side.

Richards, 43, was taken into custody on Friday night in Coral Springs, Florida, and was also charged with unauthorised use of 911 services. He was held at the Broward Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale as of Friday evening, according to online records.
