The National Association of Latino Independent Producers, or NALIP, is a US organisation that supports Latino people working in film and television. Its annual awards recognise people and productions across the industry, while its media summit brings filmmakers and industry professionals together to discuss making and distributing work.

The awards cover different roles, including casting, acting and producing. Among those being honoured are casting director Carmen Cuba, actor Adriana Paz, producer David Hinojosa and Javiera Balmaceda of Amazon MGM Studios; the Mexican series Como Agua Para Chocolate is also receiving an award.

The event is part of a wider conversation about how Latino stories are made, funded and seen by audiences. NALIP says audience data will help assess how those stories reach viewers.
