Teenage Fanclub have announced their 13th studio album, ‘Do Not Dare To Dream’, their first since 2023’s ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’, alongside a new single, ‘Day In The Sun’. The record continues the Scottish band's long-running style of melodic guitars and introspective songwriting, with singer Norman Blake and guitarist Raymond McGinley explaining that the album pushes back against hollow, forced optimism while still finding room for cautious cheerfulness.

The album is released on 9 October via Merge, was written collaboratively with longtime members Euros Childs, Francis Macdonald and David McGowan, and features ten tracks including lead single ‘Day In The Sun’. To mark the release, the band will tour the UK and Ireland in November, with 15 dates starting in Cambridge and taking in Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin and Cardiff, among other cities.
