Witnesses described the young man attempting to cross Hindley Street amid heavy foot traffic between bars and clubs when he was hit and knocked into the path of a following car. Local resident Sebastian Dilettoso told Nine News that pedestrians constantly cross the busy strip and called for measures to make crossing safer.
