Telemundo Scores U.S. Spanish-Language Rights To UEFA Champions League
Telemundo has acquired the exclusive U.S. Spanish-language broadcast rights to UEFA's men's club football competitions, extending its foray into major football coverage following its FIFA World Cup 2026 broadcasts. The three-season deal begins with the 2027-28 campaign and covers the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Super Cup and Youth League, taking the rights away from long-time holder Univision.
Coverage will span Telemundo's full platform portfolio, including the Telemundo Network, Peacock, Universo and its dedicated FAST sports channel, Telemundo Deportes Ahora. NBCUniversal News Group chairman Cesar Conde and NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises chairman Luis Fernandez both framed the agreement as building on the network's World Cup momentum, while CBS continues to hold the English-language U.S. rights to the competitions.
