Progressive metal supergroup TEMIC has announced their second album, "Ceiba", alongside a video for lead single "Ceased To Be". The band, whose members have played with Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy's Shattered Fortress, Neal Morse Band, Haken and others, built a strong following with their chart-topping debut, and the new record marks a more progressive step for the group as they explore a concept centred on loss and mortality.

"Ceiba" is due for release on 2 October 2026 via Season Of Mist and takes its name from a tree sacred in Mayan culture, believed to connect earth, heaven and the underworld. The lead single "Ceased To Be" is sung from the perspective of someone dying surrounded by loved ones, framing death as a rite of passage rather than something to be feared; its accompanying video, directed by Cesar Mendiburu, was filmed in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, including underwater scenes shot in a cenote, and stars actress Anna Kirse. The 11-track album was written collaboratively by all five members, including newest addition, bassist Miguel Pereira.
