Toyah has given fans an update on the long-gestating documentary about her viral "Sunday Lunch" performance videos, which she films with her husband, King Crimson founder Robert Fripp. Announced in 2023 as a New Zealand-led production that followed the couple for a year, the film remains unfinished, with Toyah now saying she "doesn't know" its current status, even though extensive footage has already been shot.

The Sunday Lunch series, which began during the 2020 pandemic, has amassed almost 150 million YouTube views, led by a cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" that has racked up nearly nine million views and 11,000-plus comments since January 2021. Separately, Fripp and King Crimson manager David Singleton are due to appear on BBC Radio 3's "Between The Ears" this Sunday, discussing the history of tape looping.
