Harvey Keitel says *Sister Act* was the one sequel he genuinely wanted to make, despite generally avoiding sequels he sees as cashing in. He expected to reprise Vince in *Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit*, but was left out, even as several other original cast members returned.

Keitel imagined Vince getting out of prison and pursuing Deloris, and said he was waiting for the call until his agent told him he was not in the film. The 1993 sequel reportedly made $125 million, while Keitel’s only other sequel appearance was in *National Treasure: Book of Secrets*, which grossed $459 million.
