Polygon has published its 2026 guide to the best games available on Xbox Game Pass, aiming to help subscribers navigate the service's enormous library across its various tiers. The list comes as the value of Game Pass has become harder to judge following a price increase and tier restructuring in late 2025, a subsequent price reduction, and the loss of certain features, making curated recommendations more useful for subscribers deciding what to play.

The selection, most recently updated on 9 September, includes new additions such as Forza Horizon 6, Luna Abyss, Denshattack!, Blood Dungeon and Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered, alongside notable back-catalogue additions like Cyberpunk 2077 and a large batch of Ubisoft titles. Polygon's staff selected the 25 games based on quality, variety and genre breadth, with each title personally recommended by at least one team member; highlights include Forza Horizon 6's Japan-set open world, the indie sci-fi shooter Luna Abyss, and the Studio Ghibli-collaborated RPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
