The Avalanches have announced their fourth album, ‘No Bad Memories’, due for release on 16 October, alongside the new single ‘Can’t Get Over Losing You’ featuring Portraits of Tracy. The album explores the lingering influence of advertising jingles and device start-up sounds, turning familiar commercial fragments into pop music while reflecting on nostalgia, memory and consumer culture.

The Australian electronic group describe the record as an “ambivalent ode” to marketing sounds and imagery from childhood, recognising both their creativity and their role in selling unattainable lifestyles. Previous singles include collaborations with Karen O, Jamie xx, Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and Prentiss; Portraits of Tracy said the latest track was begun in 2024 and completed in 2025. The band will also play London headline shows during Pitchfork Music Festival in November.
