The Barbarians of California Unleash Brilliant Track ‘Really Really Rad’
The Barbarians of California have released a new single, "REALLY REALLY RAD", a chaotic and high-energy hardcore track that the band say pushes the genre in unconventional directions. Frontman Aaron Bruno described the track simply as fun to make and "really good", reflecting the playful, boundary-pushing spirit of the release. The song forms part of the band's approach on their forthcoming album, which appears to shrug off the pressures typically associated with a difficult second record.
The track blends aggressive vocals and abrasive guitar work with an unexpected techno-influenced breakdown, and is taken from the band's upcoming album "MEGATONS", due for release on 21 August via Villains For Good. Bandmate Eric Stenman said the creative process felt easy and natural, describing it as a bigger, better continuation of the sound established on their debut material rather than a fraught "sophomore slump".
