The Beatles are releasing an expanded reissue of their 1965 album 'Rubber Soul', featuring a previously unreleased John Lennon demo called 'Little Girl' among other session recordings. The reissue arrives on 2 October via UMG and Apple Corps Ltd, marking the first time in over six decades that the landmark record has been presented in new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes alongside its original mono version.

The release is available in several formats, ranging from a 14-track Special Edition Standard up to a 68-track Special Edition Super Deluxe box set, which includes previously unreleased demos, session takes and the "Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out" single. Mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell using de-mixing technology from Peter Jackson's WingNut Films, the Super Deluxe editions also include an 88-page book with a new introduction by Paul McCartney and a foreword drawn from Lennon's own words. 'Rubber Soul' was recorded in October and November 1965, shortly after The Beatles played to more than 55,000 fans at Shea Stadium.
