The Blood of Dawnwalker getting a new difficulty option, combat changes and more in game’s first “big” patch scheduled for early October
The Blood of Dawnwalker’s first major patch is scheduled for early October and will introduce a new, easier difficulty mode, combat adjustments and improved performance. Developer Rebel Wolves is also responding to player feedback on targeting, escaping battles and controller support, while exploring possible future additions such as New Game Plus and more enemy variety.
The new Story mode will be designed for players who want to focus on the narrative, while the current Story difficulty will be renamed and become more demanding; the game will therefore have five difficulty levels. Combat changes include revised target switching after stun abilities, camera and targeting improvements, and three hits being required to remove a stun. The patch will also make it easier to flee without becoming trapped by scenery, while performance work continues across the many PC hardware configurations.
- A major patch is planned for early October.
- A new, easier story-focused difficulty will be added.
- Combat targeting, performance and escape mechanics will improve.
