Guy Ritchie has said he was interested in remaking the 1967 war film *The Dirty Dozen* and may still pursue it. The prospect fits his record of action and crime films, though his 2024 film *The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare* already shares a similar premise.

The original, directed by Robert Aldrich, follows a group of criminals recruited as Allied commandos during the Second World War and features Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson and John Cassavetes. Since 2020, Ritchie has directed seven films and has two more planned: *Wife & Dog* and *Viva La Madness*, a reunion with Jason Statham.
