The Cure’s Robert Smith promises tour dates for 2027 “bursting with new songs”
Robert Smith says The Cure will announce more concert dates for 2027, with shows expected to feature many new songs. The plans build on a summer of performances celebrating their latest album, *Songs of a Lost World*, and add to anticipation around the band’s unreleased music.
Smith did not reveal where or when the concerts will take place. He has said two further albums are finished: one is dark and connected in perspective to *Songs of a Lost World*, while the other is more upbeat and pop-oriented. The band recorded 13 songs for the first of those albums at Rockfield Studios in March 2025, but has not yet played any of them live.
