"The Daily Show" has released a 10-minute compilation of previously unseen audition tapes to mark the satirical news programme's 30th anniversary. Posted to YouTube, the video features footage of past and present correspondents auditioning in front of either Jon Stewart or Trevor Noah, depending on when they joined the show, offering fans a rare look at the show's history and comedic talent pipeline.

The compilation includes all five current rotating hosts, as well as clips of John Oliver joking with Stewart before his 2006 audition, Michael Che (who left after three months for "Saturday Night Live"), and Samantha Bee, who spent over a decade as a correspondent before launching "Full Frontal". Also featured are Jessica Williams, Roy Wood Jr., Rob Riggle, Jason Jones, Wyatt Cenac, Jordan Klepper and Desi Lydic, plus a 2002 clip of Ed Helms and Rob Corddry performing an identical bit about Winter Olympics rule changes.
