The Darkness have confirmed that their "best of" compilation album, Crock Of Hits, will be released via Warner Music on 27 November, following on from May's announcement and their theme song for this year's Masters Of The Universe film. To mark the release, frontman Justin Hawkins and his bandmates will play a small celebration show at the 300-capacity Moth Club in East London on 17 September, a stark contrast to their upcoming appearance at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena as part of their Christmas arena tour.

Pre-sale tickets for the Moth Club gig go on sale via Dice at 10am on Tuesday 9 September, with general sale following two days later; tickets that had gone on sale early due to a Dice error have been cancelled and refunded. Crock Of Hits will be released in four formats – single and double vinyl, plus single and triple CD – with the larger editions featuring live tracks, radio sessions and a new version of the Masters Of The Universe theme featuring Queen's Brian May.
