“The Devil Wears Prada 2” has reportedly boosted international visitor numbers at Milan locations featured in the film, with pedestrian traffic rising 18% after its release. The trend illustrates how major screen productions can drive tourism and spending in prominent city-centre districts, particularly those associated with fashion and luxury.

A Cities Analytics study for Confcommercio Milano estimates that around 1.5 million international tourists will visit central Milan during the summer quarter, including more than 451,000 in August. The strongest increase was 24% between Largo Cairoli and Palazzo Clerici, followed by 17% at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele-Duomo, 14% at the Brera Academy and 13% on Via Montenapoleone; Americans were the largest visitor group, ahead of French and British tourists.
