The Division 2 has launched a new limited-time mode called the Broken Rain Incursion, which challenges four-player squads to work through PvE objectives for exclusive rewards. Aimed at players who have reached the endgame, the mode requires a minimum character level of 40 and rewards close teamwork, as squads must clear waves of enemies, including dangerous snipers, before securing a reservoir to finish the run.

Players who complete the Incursion can earn the Steel and Sons ACR, a new weapon with separate stat bonuses for PvE and PvP that rewards landing consecutive body shots followed by a headshot, as well as bonus damage against weakpoints. A reward chest is granted for each squad's first weekly clearance, with additional chests available for defeating bosses on repeat runs. The event also introduces free and premium reward tracks offering cosmetic outfits, exotic caches and an outfit token, and Prototype Gear can be used during the mode, though its stats are normalised to keep the challenge balanced.
