Destructoid has published a guide for the Week 8 "Scout 8" manhunt challenges in The Division 2's Year 8 Season 2 "Into the Dark" event, helping players progress towards the season's climax mission. As with previous weeks, players must decode in-game clues to reveal three tasks, complete them, and unlock the next stage.

This week's tasks are all set in the East Mall district: completing one Public Execution, capturing three Control Points (choosing from Metro Ruins, Solar Farm, Sinkhole or Crash Site), and finishing any two friendly Open World activities such as weapon escorts. The guide notes these tasks can be completed at any difficulty, though higher difficulties yield better rewards, and describes the steps needed for each, including clearing enemies at Public Executions and surviving both assault and defence phases when capturing Control Points.
