FromSoftware has revealed details of the playable character roster for The Duskbloods, its first original game built for the Nintendo Switch 2 and a rare multiplayer-only entry in its Bloodborne/Dark Souls-inspired catalogue. Unlike Elden Ring, the game uses prebuilt characters called Bloodsworn, each with unique weapons, powers and passive abilities, rather than a fully customisable player character, though further customisation unlocks as players progress.

Six Bloodsworn will be playable in the game's upcoming network test, with FromSoftware indicating the final roster will include a dozen or more characters. Confirmed characters include:

– Albert – a tutorial all-rounder with a jewelled saber and submachine gun for melee and ranged combat.
– Bloodhound Jan – a tutorial boss-turned-playable fighter wielding a heavy axe and flame-projecting sorcery stone.
– Trang Lanh – a fast, rogue-like fighter who can turn invisible and summon a giant serpent.
– Zork – a jetpack-equipped character able to fly around the map.
– Two further Bloodsworn are playable in the network test but not yet detailed.
