Explained simply
Justice are a French electronic music duo made up of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. Gesaffelstein is the stage name of French electronic producer Mike Lévy; both acts are known for electronic music that often uses heavy beats and synthesised sounds.
Grand Theft Auto is a series of open-world action games published by Rockstar Games, in which players explore fictional cities and take part in missions. The next game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, and its soundtrack is part of a wider tradition of music helping create the atmosphere of the game’s locations and stories.
Justice’s score is music composed for the game, distinct from the licensed songs that may appear on its in-game radio stations. Its planned release as an album gives listeners a way to hear the music outside the game, while its range of styles reflects the different settings and moods the score is intended to accompany.
