Manchester indie band The Guest List have released ‘Mundane’, an anthemic new single about the frustrations of repetitive daily life. The song previews their debut album, ‘Something Real’, and reflects the band’s aim of finding meaning amid uncertainty and overwhelm.

Frontman Cai Alty said the track’s lyrics draw on ordinary chores such as fitting curtains and soaking dishes, presenting pent-up bitterness without advocating abandoning everyday life entirely. ‘Something Real’, a 12-track album recorded in Norway with Matias Tellez and partly produced by The Coral’s James Skelly, arrives on 28 August; the band will also play festivals and begin a UK and European tour in October.
