A maker has repurposed Nintendo’s Wii Nunchuck controller as a handheld video-editing input device, arguing that its shape makes it unusually comfortable to use. The project highlights how older gaming hardware can be adapted for creative work and raises the prospect of more ergonomic alternatives to conventional keyboards, mice and editing consoles.

The Nunchuck combines an analogue stick, two buttons and motion sensors in a compact, one-handed design. These controls can be mapped to editing functions such as navigating footage and making adjustments, turning a discontinued Wii accessory into a specialised controller for video work.
