Netflix has confirmed that the original four lead actors from "The Inbetweeners" have reunited for "Inbetweeners 3," a follow-up film now in production in the UK. Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas are reprising their roles as Will, Jay, Neil and Simon, with series creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris returning to write and direct, marking the comedy's long-awaited revival for streaming after years of anticipation following its cult E4 run and two record-breaking cinema spin-offs.

The film is produced by Claire Jones alongside Banijay's Patrick Holland and Fudge Park Productions' Mark Lesbirel, with a string of executive producers including Morris and Beesley themselves. A production announcement video showed the cast climbing back into the battered 1996 Fiat Cinquecento from the show's second series. "The Inbetweeners" originally aired from 2008 to 2010 before spawning two hit films in 2011 and 2014, both of which broke UK comedy box office records; the reunion follows a deal struck last year between Banijay UK and Fudge Park Productions to pave the way for the franchise's return.
