Brazilian actor Wagner Moura has become one of Netflix's most-favoured leading men, discussing his role in the streamer's current chart-topping sci-fi thriller *The Last House* and how his career has evolved since his star-making turn as Pablo Escobar in *Narcos*. Moura believes Hollywood's portrayal of Latino actors is shifting away from stereotypical roles towards more varied, representative parts, a change he credits partly to his own refusal to be typecast and partly to broader industry evolution.

In *The Last House*, directed by Louis Leterrier, Moura plays engineer Jason Delgado, whose family home is mysteriously sealed shut, forcing him and his wife (played by Greta Lee) to protect their children with dwindling resources. It is the sixth Netflix project he has featured in since *Narcos* ended in 2016, following diverse roles including a journalist in *Civil War* and an Oscar-nominated dual role in *The Secret Agent*, for which he won a best actor prize at Cannes last year while, coincidentally, filming an unglamorous scene on the *Last House* set the same day.
