The latest Avatar: Seven Havens trailer gives us a deeper dive into the characters and story

Engadget · 56 minutes ago

Paramount+ has released a nearly three-minute trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens, the next instalment in the Avatar franchise, offering a fuller look at its characters and storyline ahead of its 9 October premiere. The show is set 200 years after The Legend of Korra, in a post-apocalyptic world where survivors have retreated into seven havens following unspecified catastrophic events for which Korra is being blamed, leaving public opinion turned against Avatars generally.

The new trailer follows a shorter teaser released in July and introduces Avatar Pavi, a young girl likely to face persecution once her identity becomes known, alongside a twin sister and a supporting friend group. The first three episodes launch on 9 October on Paramount+, with subsequent episodes released weekly; two 13-episode seasons have already been commissioned. The franchise, which began with Avatar: The Last Airbender over 20 years ago, has had a busy 2026, also seeing an Aang-focused film release and the second season of Netflix's live-action adaptation, with a third and final season still to come.
