The Linda Lindas have released “Everybody Told Me”, a new single accompanied by a ghostly Victorian-themed video, ahead of their third album, Gotta Get Out. The song explores the lingering effect of past conversations and existential advice, while marking another stylistic step for a band whose songwriting has developed significantly since its debut.

Drummer Mila De La Garza said the track emerged from a collaborative writing process, inspiring its call-and-response bridge and the group’s first fade-out ending. The band said it has sought new ideas and hope through making art, and will spend much of the year touring as headliners, with additional September dates supporting Bleachers.
