In short
- *Minions & Monsters* is streaming on Peacock in the US.
- The PG-rated film runs for about 90 minutes.
- It arrived just before Halloween, after opening in cinemas in July.
Explained simply
The Minions are yellow, comical characters from the Despicable Me films, which also feature the villain-turned-family-man Gru. Their popularity led to spin-off films centred on the Minions, who speak in a playful mix of sounds and words.
Peacock is a US streaming service run by NBCUniversal, the studio behind the Minions films through its animation company Illumination. Streaming services make films available to watch online, often after their cinema release.
Halloween is celebrated on 31 October, and families may mark it with costumes, decorations and themed films. Animated comedies can offer a lighter option for younger viewers, while a PG rating signals that some material may not suit very young children.
