Ahead of his second album, ‘Where’s Bliss?’, namesbliss discusses the pressure of releasing more personal music while receiving wider attention through a 2026 MOBO Best Newcomer nomination. The artist says the record reflects his varied path through grime, hip-hop, jazz and spoken word, as well as experiences including a late ADHD diagnosis and previous work as a SENCo.

He says his song ‘ADHD’ was shaped by both personal experience and professional familiarity with neurodiversity, aiming for honesty rather than a clinical explanation. Its strongly specific perspective has prompted an emotional response from fans, which he sees as evidence that detailed, vulnerable storytelling can connect widely; he also describes songwriting as a deliberate craft involving character, conflict and resolution.
