Lola has announced the Lola x Miffy, a Miffy-themed redesign of its compact digital camera, due to go on sale on 31 July. The blue camera features stars, the cartoon rabbit and a matching wrist charm, reflecting continuing consumer interest in retro-style, single-purpose gadgets as alternatives to smartphones.

Despite its early-2000s aesthetic, it offers 8-megapixel photos, 4K video, 20x digital zoom, a flash and a 2.8-inch screen. It will include 20 built-in creative filters alongside Miffy-themed filters and effects, plus USB-C charging and a branded case; pricing has not been announced, although comparable Lola cameras cost about $109.
