Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey continued its strong US box-office run, earning $18.05 million on Wednesday. The result was Nolan’s second-highest Wednesday takings in the domestic market, indicating that demand has remained high after its opening weekend.

The film has reached $181.6 million in the US and Canada after six days, putting it 54% ahead of Oppenheimer at the same point. It is forecast to earn $61 million to $74 million in its second weekend, faces little major-studio competition, and will retain its premium-format and IMAX screens, which supplied 52% of its $123.5 million opening.
