Christopher Nolan's epic film adaptation of The Odyssey is continuing its strong run at the North American box office, with Monday takings estimated at $17.5 million, on track to be the best single Monday of 2026 so far. That figure would surpass Toy Story 5's $17.3 million Monday in June and the $16.4 million Memorial Day Monday recorded by Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, the year's previous top live-action performer, underlining the strength of demand for Nolan's latest release, particularly in premium Imax formats.

The film's four-day domestic total stands at around $141 million, 48% ahead of Oppenheimer's equivalent Friday-to-Monday haul, with its three-day opening of $123.5 million already the best live-action debut of 2026 in North America. Internationally it added $140.2 million, taking the worldwide opening to roughly $263.7 million, the biggest global start of Nolan's career, ahead of The Dark Knight Rises. Imax screenings in Los Angeles, New York and beyond are reportedly close to sold out, though among Nolan's own films The Odyssey's Monday takings still trail those of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
