The official Bon Scott YouTube channel has been sharing previously unavailable AC/DC recordings in recent weeks. These archival materials, primarily featuring the band during their early London tour period in 1976, represent recovered footage that was originally broadcast on the Australian television programme Countdown but has been largely inaccessible for decades.

Much of this footage was thought to be permanently lost due to the economics of television production in the 1970s, when the Australian Broadcasting Corporation would routinely reuse expensive film stock by erasing earlier broadcasts. The newly surfaced recordings showcase AC/DC's remarkably swift ascent in the British market during that year—they progressed from performing their European debut at a modest 100-capacity venue in Hammersmith to headlining the 3,500-seat Hammersmith Odeon within seven months.
