OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone maker known for producing powerful phones at relatively affordable prices. It built a significant following in Western markets but withdrew from the United States and Europe this summer.
The OnePlus 16 is the company's latest top-of-the-line smartphone, launched today in China. It includes improvements to its processing power, a screen that refreshes 185 times per second, a 200-megapixel camera, and a large battery with fast charging.
The phone's availability only in China shows that OnePlus is now focusing on the Asian market rather than competing globally. It marks a clear shift from the company's earlier strategy of selling phones in multiple regions.
