Filmmaker Cameron Crowe signalled potential interest in returning to feature directing through a superhero lens during a recent interview. The veteran director's enthusiasm grew noticeably when discussion turned to adapting Dazzler, a Marvel character whose musical performance abilities intertwine with superhero powers.

In considering the project, Crowe identified singer Dua Lipa as suitable casting and emphasised that superhero films need not sacrifice dramatic substance for visual spectacle. Though Dazzler has inhabited the Marvel universe for decades and briefly appeared on screen in an earlier film, a dedicated adaptation centred on the character has not yet reached production despite recurring industry interest over the years.
