Wyle, who received three nominations including for directing and producing, thanked crew members on the show's Burbank soundstage ahead of resuming production on its third season, and praised fellow nominee Gary Oldman. Observers have drawn parallels between the show's success and Wyle's earlier career on "ER," another hospital-set drama.
