The Pretty Reckless Unveil New Version of “About You” Featuring Dave Grohl and Pat Smear: Stream

Consequence ·

The Pretty Reckless have released a bonus version of “About You” featuring Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and Pat Smear. It adds a new collaboration to a song from the band’s latest album, Dear God, and follows recent tour connections between the two groups.

Grohl plays drums and sings, joining Taylor Momsen on the chorus, while Smear plays guitar; Momsen leads the verses and shares a call-and-response passage with Grohl in the bridge. Momsen said she invited the musicians to contribute because the song was a favourite, and described recording together as making music with friends. The Pretty Reckless recently toured in support of AC/DC, with Foo Fighters filling in for them at two shows; the bands also have further UK, European and Indian dates planned.
