The Remarried Empress sets Disney’s global local original premiere record
Developing story first seen 2 hours ago
Disney says *The Remarried Empress* has set a new global record as its most-viewed local original premiere across Disney+ and Hulu, measured over the first three days after launch. Its early performance suggests the Korean series is reaching audiences across more regions than the streamer’s previous Korean hit, *Moving*.
The series premiered on 3 November with four episodes and achieved Disney’s biggest Korean title premiere in more than 50 markets, including Britain, the US, France and Australia. Disney has not disclosed viewing figures. Adapted from a webtoon with nearly three billion views, the fantasy romance follows Empress Navier as her marriage breaks down and she seeks to remarry; two episodes are due each Wednesday from 11 November, with the finale on 25 November.
