Disney+ is building anticipation for The Remarried Empress, a major Korean romantasy series tipped to become one of the streamer's biggest international releases of 2026. The company is releasing a special featurette preview on Wednesday featuring previously unseen footage and behind-the-scenes interviews with the show's main cast.

The series is an adaptation of a hugely popular Naver Webtoon that has accumulated nearly 3 billion views worldwide, following Empress Navier as her marriage to Emperor Sovieshu unravels when he becomes infatuated with a slave girl, leading Navier to develop romantic feelings for Crown Prince Heinrey of a rival kingdom. The production scouted 16 real castles across France, Germany and the Czech Republic, and Disney noted this marks the first time it has produced such elaborate preview material for a Korean show; the initial trailer garnered over 13 million views within 48 hours. The series debuts with four episodes on 4 November on Disney+ and Hulu, with two additional episodes airing each Wednesday through 25 November, and will premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in early October.
