The Residents Announce Rescheduled Eskimo Live! North American Tour Dates
The Residents have rescheduled their “Eskimo Live!” North American tour for autumn 2026 after the original plans were postponed because of an unexpected health issue within the group’s camp. The experimental collective will perform its 1979 album Eskimo in full for the first time in 46 years, presenting it as a staged surrealist ritual with narration and characters.
The tour begins in Chicago on 7 October and ends in San Diego on 1 December, visiting cities including Toronto, New York, Boston, Washington, Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The production will include five new pieces inspired by traditional Indigenous Arctic folk tales, while Rushadicus the Infamous Cello Goblín will support; tickets go on sale on 17 July at 10am local time.
