Dusk Golem said the remake began early production nearly a year ago and is expected to move into full production after work on Resident Evil Code: Veronica is finished; that remake was announced in June and is due in 2027. They also claimed Resident Evil Zero entered full production in late 2022, which could make it the next remake released after Veronica rather than Resident Evil 1. Eurogamer notes Capcom often alternates between remakes and mainline sequels, so a new remake may not arrive until around 2029, while also stressing that Dusk Golem’s record is mixed despite several past accurate Resident Evil leaks.
