The Russo brothers say filming on Avengers: Secret Wars will begin “soon”, adding that the proximity of the start date is making them “sweat a little bit”. The remark highlights the demanding turnaround facing the directors as they complete Avengers: Doomsday while preparing its sequel, two major films intended to form a connected story.

Anthony Russo said Doomsday is deep in post-production, including work on music, sound mixing and composer Alan Silvestri’s score. Marvel has not announced a filming date for Secret Wars; Doomsday is scheduled for release on 18 December 2026, followed by Secret Wars on 17 December 2027.
