The track began as Billy Corgan worked on a solo album, then took shape after he was invited to contribute to the film’s soundtrack and drew inspiration from its fictional world.

The soundtrack is due out on 13 November and has 29 tracks, with contributions from 29 artists whose identities are mostly still to be revealed. “Black Stars” is listed at number 15; Noah Kahan is also named, for “Draw You Out”.
