‘The Sopranos’ Star Steve Schirripa Officially Returns to His Mobster Roots
Steve Schirripa, known for playing Bobby Baccalieri in The Sopranos, is voicing Don Ravioli in the fifth season of Disney Channel’s Big City Greens. The role gives him another chance to play a mobster, this time in a comedy aimed at younger audiences.
In the episode “Wise Gals”, Nancy and Gloria are caught dining and dashing at Ravioli’s restaurant and face being lowered into a vat of hot sauce. His nephew Gio objects to the mafia antics as stereotypical, but Ravioli refuses to give up his criminal ways. Schirripa said the episode brought back memories of The Sopranos; Season 5 also features guest voices including Dylan Sprouse, Stephen King and Luke Combs.
