The Stray Cats Bring “Rock This Town” to Fallon for First TV Performance in Three Decades: Watch

Consequence · 2 hours ago

The Stray Cats performed "Rock This Town" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, marking their first late-night television appearance in 36 years. The rockabilly trio's slot follows their summer 2026 tour, which saw frontman Brian Setzer return to the road after an autoimmune condition had temporarily affected his ability to play guitar.

The band's last late-night outing was in 1990, when they performed "Gene and Eddie" on Letterman. They recently paid further tribute to that song's subjects by covering Eddie Cochran's "Teenage Heaven" alongside a new track, "Stampede", released in 2025 as their first new material since 2019. The Stray Cats now head back out on tour this autumn, with dates running from 9th November in Grand Prairie, Texas, through to early December.
