Arizona Sunshine is a series of zombie action games made by Vertigo Games. The original was designed for virtual reality, where players use a headset and motion controls to explore a sun-scorched version of the American South-west.

The series has had several releases, including versions adapted for different VR headsets and platforms. This edition is designed for ordinary screen play, with a third-person view in which players see their character on screen; co-op lets one player take the role of the dog.

The change matters because it makes the game playable without VR equipment, while giving returning players a different way to experience its setting and co-op. The series’ multiple releases also mean that owners of an earlier version may want to check whether it offers an upgrade path before buying again.
