Prime Video India has released the trailer for the second season of celebrity reality competition ‘The Traitors’, hosted by Karan Johar and launching on 13 August. The series matters as it builds on the first season’s success with a larger celebrity cast and renewed emphasis on deception, alliances and eliminations.

Filmed at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, the season features 21 contestants from entertainment, music and digital media, including Mallika Sherawat, Munawar Faruqui, Rhea Chakraborty and Shweta Tiwari. Episodes will be released every Thursday, while a new character called Boo will deliver “Buri Khabar” or bad news; the format sees Innocents attempt to expose hidden Traitors before being eliminated themselves.
