Prime Video will globally launch Season 2 of "The Traitors" India, the local adaptation of the international reality format, in August, with Karan Johar returning as host. The series sees 21 celebrities from various fields play a game centred on trust, betrayal and deception, and comes after the first season became what Prime Video India executives described as a genuine "cultural moment" in the country.

Season 2 premieres on 13 August, with new episodes airing weekly on Thursdays. The show is produced by Dharma Productions' digital arm Dharmatic Entertainment alongside All3Media International, which licenses the BAFTA and Emmy-winning format—created by IDTV and now adapted in more than 40 territories worldwide. Prime Video executives said the new season would feature sharper gameplay and a fresh line-up of players, forming part of a wider Indian Originals slate that includes "Mirzapur", "The Family Man" and "Panchayat".
